The Economics Department (Instituto de Economía) at UC Chile invites applications for multiple full-time faculty positions at the levels of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The academic category of the selected candidates will be determined through the Faculty and central-level review processes established by the University. Candidates from all fields of economics are welcome. It serves around 2,000 students across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, including two M.Sc. degrees and a Ph.D. in Economics.

•Teaching load: 3 courses per year. Teaching may be done in English or Spanish during the first two years; thereafter, proficiency in Spanish for teaching is expected.

Qualifications
Candidate Profile
- Ph.D. in Economics (or equivalent, completed by the start date).
- Strong potential for high-quality research and publication record (required for Associate/Full Professor applicants).
- Commitment to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including student supervision.
- Capacity for collaboration and academic citizenship, contributing to departmental and university initiatives.

Please note that a candidate of foreign nationality without permanent residency in Chile, or applying from abroad, if selected for the position, will need to apply for and obtain the corresponding visa in their country of origin in order to join the university faculty.
